Vicar's Corner
A lot of the time we want to be known by some great deed(s), forgetting that it is all of our character to become Christ-like, that God wants most.
Here are some one liners we might learn on the journey:
- As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home each day.
- The most important things in your house, are the people.
- Holding a grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
- When we get tangled up in our problems, God wants us to “be still,” so He can untangle us.
- If you worry you don’t pray...if you pray you don’t worry.
- Laugh every day, it’s like inner jogging.
- Do the maths...count your blessings.
- Silence is often misinterpreted but never misquoted.
- There is no one key to happiness. The door is always open.
- Growing old is inevitable...growing up is optional.
- God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
- A common prayer: “God I have a problem, it’s me!”
- Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
Finally: Faith is the ability not to panic.
