Vicar’s Corner: God Is Waiting to Use Your Full Potential

Vicar's Corner

Stephen KimberleyA lot of the time we want to be known by some great deed(s), forgetting that it is all of our character to become Christ-like, that God wants most.

Here are some one liners we might learn on the journey:

  • As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home each day.
  • The most important things in your house, are the people.
  • Holding a grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
  • When we get tangled up in our problems, God wants us to “be still,” so He can untangle us.
  • If you worry you don’t pray...if you pray you don’t worry.
  • Laugh every day, it’s like inner jogging.
  • Do the maths...count your blessings.
  • Silence is often misinterpreted but never misquoted.
  • There is no one key to happiness. The door is always open.
  • Growing old is inevitable...growing up is optional.
  • God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
  • A common prayer: “God I have a problem, it’s me!”
  • Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Finally: Faith is the ability not to panic.

Steve
